In 2018 OneOk Inc. began construction on a new 400,000-barrel per day (bpd) natural gas liquids pipeline. The Arbuckle II pipeline was completed in early 2020 and stretches from OneOk’s Mid-Continent infrastructure in Oklahoma to the company’s existing NGL facilities in Mont Belvieu, TX, around 960 miles. During the construction of Arbuckle II PipeSak ® Inc. was asked to provide 2,112 PipePillo™ pipeline supports for 24” O.D. pipe. PipePillo™ provides permanent support and is the only engineered solution replacing foam, sandbags, and pad dirt. In addition, around 50 PipeSak® geotextile pipeline weights were also purchased for the project. PipeSak pipeline weights restrict uplift with no risk to the coating and they are as permeable as the ballast used to fill them, allowing groundwater and cathodic protection an easy path. Both PipeSak, Inc. products used on this project contribute to time and money saved. There are currently plans to expand the Arbuckle II project, PipeSak Inc. hopes to continue contributing as the pipeline progresses.
