Acadian to Haynesville Expansion Pipeline Project

The Acadian Haynesville Extension Pipeline was a 270 mile addition to the existing 1000-mile Acadian
Natural Gas Pipeline System located in the State of Louisiana. Engineers estimated that approximately
30% of the pipeline length would require long term buoyancy control due to the high levels of ground
water in Southern Louisiana. After consulting with PipeSak® engineers on the buoyancy design,
Enterprise Product Partners sole sourced over 29,000 42” and 36” PipeSak® geotextile pipeline weights
for the project. PipeSak® geotextile weights are the only saddlebag weight in the industry stable enough
to be placed on a floating pipeline, negating the need to dewater the trench, and the low profile of the
PipeSak® pipeline weight design required no additional trench depth, saving the project time and money.
